Rain chances keep the umbrella handy
RAIN CHANCES INCREASE: An unsettled weather pattern is expected to develop across the region, bringing multiple opportunities for showers or thunderstorms throughout the weekend and into next week. Periods of rain will move through at times, with some locations likely to receive more rainfall than others. Although widespread, all-day rain is not expected. Plan for occasional wet conditions, especially in the afternoon and evening. Keep an umbrella nearby if you have outdoor activities planned.
MILD TEMPERATURES: Despite increased cloud cover and rain chances, temperatures will remain comfortable for this time of year. Afternoon highs will generally hover in the 70s, with a few locations climbing warmer when clouds break. Overnight temperatures will dip into the 50s and 60s, keeping mornings mild. The lack of consistent sunshine will prevent temperatures from warming too much during the afternoon.
LOOKING AHEAD: Cloud cover will remain common through the extended forecast. Additional disturbances moving through the region will cause rain chances to fluctuate daily. Overall, it looks to be a gray week across North Mississippi. Be sure to account for changing weather when making plans.
