CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) - Corinth city leaders gathered Monday to reopen the Polk Street Bridge.

They dedicated it in honor of Conner Dabbs, who died earlier this year in a construction accident.

The accident happened on Feb. 12 on Polk Street in Corinth and claimed the Smithville man’s life.

Alcorn County Coroner Jay Jones said Dabbs, 20, was working on a new bridge with Cook & Sons Construction when he died.

Dabbs was a second-year construction management technology student at Itawamba Community College.
