OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) – Security preparations are underway for a weekend reunion.
Former Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin, who left to lead Louisiana State University’s Tigers, is heading back to his old campus.
However, he’s back on the opposite sideline.
“I feel like it will probably be one of the biggest crowds that any of us have ever seen, and so you take that into consideration,” said Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen.
He said his department is ready.
Contrary to what rumors were claiming, Oxford’s chief said the National Guard will not be present.
However, they are working with law enforcement in Mobile Ala., and New Orleans to ensure there are extra horse-mounted patrols around the city.
