Three minors arrested on burglary charges

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) – Three juveniles have been arrested on burglary charges.

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office reported on Tuesday that a trio of unnamed juveniles is facing charges of burglary of a vehicle, attempted burglary of a residence, and several misdemeanor charges.

Authorities were told by residents that their vehicles had been broken into, with some callers also reporting that there had been an attempted break-in and vandalism at a local home.

The investigation led deputies to a home on County Road 2291, where they arrested two male juveniles, and deputies recovered multiple items of stolen property.

Sheriff Randy Tolar said some of the items taken included headphones, credit cards, road signs and other random items. He added that most of them had been left in vehicles.

They also found evidence of additional break-ins that had not been reported yet. Deputies later found and arrested a third male juvenile.

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office said anyone who lives near Highway 365 or County Road 2291 and noticed items missing from their vehicle or home should reach out to them.
