West Alabama nonprofit hosts drive-thru food giveaway in Eutaw
EUTAW, Ala. (WBRC) - - A west Alabama community group is continuing its work to provide services and support in the Black Belt.
The Legacy Community Resource Training Network hosted a drive-thru food giveaway in Eutaw Wednesday. The group provides support through healthcare and education and has hosted several community events since this summer.
Leaders said food insecurity is one of the biggest concerns affecting families in the area.

Legacy partnered with the West Alabama Food Bank and several other groups to organize the giveaway. Organizers came prepared to serve 150 families.
“Oh, we all need food. I need food. You know just being able to provide a meal at least for a day or two and continue to be able to use your money for a bill or something. This just helps supplement those types of things,” said Desiree Seymore, founder and CEO of Legacy Community Resource Training Network.
This was the second food drive the group has hosted in Eutaw.
Seymore says the group may host a toy drive around the holidays before the end of the year.
