MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) – An alleged methamphetamine trafficker and a delivery person were arrested.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook on Thursday, announcing the arrests of 67-year-old Ronald Herrington and 35-year-old Jatarvis Vasser, of Aberdeen.

Herrington, who the sheriff said is also called “Pepsi,” was arrested at his home on Schoolhouse Road in the Athens community for allegedly selling meth daily in trafficking amounts to buyers in the Athens/Lackey area.

Sheriff Kevin Crook’s post said that Vasser, also called “Tae Grip,” allegedly helped with deliveries due to Herrington having difficulties getting in and out of the home.

The sheriff’s office said both men are charged with trafficking meth and conspiracy to traffic meth in the county.

Each was arrested on Sept. 1 and has since bonded out.
