Brooksville mayor and another man arrested for assault

BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) — A Noxubee County mayor is free on bond following his arrest for simple assault.

Noxubee County Sheriff Tedrick Liddell confirmed the arrest of David Boswell.

Investigators charged the mayor and another man, Edward Henley, with simple assault — a misdemeanor — in connection with an incident last week.

The sheriff refused to go into further details about the incident, but Boswell and Henley accused each other of the crime.
