Clay County woman accused of shooting boyfriend in head

WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) — A Clay County woman is facing aggravated assault charges after investigators said she shot her boyfriend.
Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said Denisha Davis shot her boyfriend in the head early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened on Gibson Lane, off Dr. Sears Road.
He said the victim remains in stable condition at the Tupelo hospital.
The sheriff said deputies had never previously responded to calls at the home.
