...Heavy Rainfall and Flash Flooding Possible Through Saturday Evening... .A warm front will lift north across the Mid-South through Friday. This front will interact with abundant moisture and several upper- level disturbances today through Saturday evening. As a result, the Mid-South will experience multiple rounds of heavy rainfall over the next several days. Another 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected, with isolated higher amounts. Heavy rainfall on top of already saturated ground and swollen rivers and creeks will likely cause additional flash flooding. ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON CST TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING... * Portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi, and West Tennessee, including the following areas, in East Arkansas, Crittenden, Cross, Lee, Phillips, and St. Francis. In North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Monroe, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, and Yalobusha. In West Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McNairy, Shelby, and Tipton.

* From noon CST today through Saturday evening

* An additional 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected across the watch area with isolated higher amounts.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for motorists. Low-lying and poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as well as small streams.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana and Mississippi, including the following areas in southeast Arkansas, Ashley and Chicot. In northeast Louisiana, East Carroll, Morehouse, Richland and West Carroll. In Mississippi, Attala, Bolivar, Carroll, Choctaw, Clay, Grenada, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Lowndes, Montgomery, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Sharkey, Sunflower, Washington, Webster, Winston and Yazoo.

* From noon CST today through Saturday evening

* Additional rainfall amounts of two to four inches with locally heavier amounts are expected to fall on saturated grounds.

* The flooding of roads, low lying areas, and areas with poor drainage is expected. Water levels on areas rivers and streams will be rising as well. If encountering flooded roads, remember to turn around, don`t drown and be especially cautious at night.
