...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST WEDNESDAY... ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, numerous hours of sub-freezing temperatures are expected from late this afternoon through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will be in the upper teens to lower 20s Wednesday morning. For the Wind Advisory, north winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are possible through this afternoon.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Louisiana, central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest and west central Mississippi and southeast Arkansas.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, until 10 AM CST Wednesday. For the Wind Advisory, until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Strong, gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures between 17 and 22 expectd. For the Wind Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northeast, northwest and west central Alabama.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, until 10 AM CST Wednesday. For the Wind Advisory, until 5 PM CST this afternoon.
