Now-former Louisville police officer faces DUI

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Louisville aldermen fired a police officer who faces DUI charges.

Louisville Police Chief Sean Holdiness released the following statement.

"The Louisville Police Department is a professional agency that serves the citizens of Louisville and the state of Mississippi. The Louisville Police Department does not tolerate or condone unprofessional or dangerous behavior of its officers. The Louisville Board of Aldermen took action against one of our officers who was relieved of duty on the morning of October 23rd. Officer Casey Wallace was terminated tonight and faces criminal charges in Louisville municipal court on December 7th for DUI."
