MSU professor accused of embezzlement

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Mississippi State Police arrested a professor for alleged embezzlement.

Gary Packwood is shown on the March 15 arrest report, found on the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office website.

Mississippi State Director of Public Affairs Sid Salter said this is a personnel matter and the university is not making a comment.

No more details have been released about the alleged crime.

According to MSU’s website, Gary Packwood is the director of choral activities.
