820 additional COVID cases, 41 additional deaths reported in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 820 additional COVID-19 cases and 41 additional deaths in its Tuesday morning report.

Twelve deaths occurred between Sept. 8 and Oct. 11 in the counties below:

  • Copiah 1
  • Jackson 2
  • Jasper 1
  • Jones 2
  • Lowndes 1
  • Marshall 1
  • Panola 1
  • Rankin 1
  • Tishomingo 2

Twenty-nine deaths occurred between Oct. 4, 2020, and Oct. 6, 2021, identified from death certificate reports.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Mississippi in March 2020, the MSDH has reported 496,132 total cases and 9,874 total deaths.

The MSDH has reported 474,529 presumed recoveries.
