starkville looks a little bit cleaner today after teams of people went out and swept up the city. paige watson with the greater starkville development partnership said this is the 16th annual event before the home opener game. over 600 people from the community came together to form teams, grab trash bags, grab gloves and beautify the town. watson said the number of volunteers grows every year, and this year was the largest yet. she said this is community effort and its important because its a good way for chamber members to get involved and volunteer in the community. to beautify the town." we want people who are coming here for football season to think that our town is beautiful because it really is and it's just a really good way to kinda work with your employers and all our businesses in town to beautify the town." if anyone wants to get involved with the starkville community or join the chamber you can visit starkville dot org....
