interim police chief johnny patterson said officers got multiple calls about shootings within three days. the people we spoke with told us this is not new to the area and that it's time for a change. ((sot)) "this didn't just start happening this has been going on. this change should have happened already. the same thing over, and over, and over again." three calls came in concerning gunshots this from thursday to sunday. the chief said two turned out to be drive-by shootings. in one of the shootings, the victim was wounded in the leg. officers have yet to make any arrests, but they may have figured out who the shooters are. even with that, not everyone in the city believes enough is being done to stop the violence. ((sot)) "i think that we do have a great chief, but i think that we need better officers to listen to the citizens and try to pay attention to what the community is telling them and just let them do their job." ((as live tag)) chief patterson added he expects officers to make arrests soon in these shootings. still, he's asking anyone with information that coujld solve these crimes to call police. in verona, erin wilson, w-t-v-a nine news. at , you're getting a live
