was one of the four schools featured on day three of sec football media days. head coach joe moorhead brought three upperclassmen to hoover. junior linebacker erroll thompson, senior center darryl williams, and senior tight end farrod green. one of the big questions for the bulldogs heading into the season is who will be the starting quarterback. nick fitzgerald is gone, and now moorhead will decide between fitzgerald's former backup, keytaon thompson, or tommy stevens, a graduate transfer from penn state. moorhead is familiar with both, having coached thompson last year and stevens earlier in his career with the nittany lions. moorhead says he won't give a specific date on when he'll decide on a starter, but here's what he is saying. moorhead: "the thing i'm looking for in this competition is the guy who throws the ball the best with the most accuracy, cause when you look at their running statistics and their skill set there, i think they're both eight yard a carry guys throughout their career, and both guys can beat you with their feet, and what we're looking at to improve upon the most offensively is the efficiency effectiveness and explosiveness of our pass game." green: "we have keytaon, jalen maynard, garrett schrader and tommy stevens, they're all great quarterbacks, and i don't know who'll be the starting quarterback, but i know i'm comfortable being on the field with all four of them."
