for a career in hands on technology toured communiversity today. wtvas nicole dantzler joins us live with what a communiversity offers. its truly an university for the community. communiversity strives to educate students about manufacturing and engineering careers. not only is this fkr students but its fir anyone trying to accelerate in the workforce ((take pkg)) "it is the community's building that is housed in our emcc family." joe cook- dean of manufacturing, technology and engineering jow cook said communiversity is a technology center to train people in the workforce. emcc, along with appalachian region commission and elected officials in oktibbeha clay and lowndes counties pattnered to build the center. "communiversity is an idea about the community coming together, business partners coming together and state and federal funders." its a modern manufacturing program thats housed in a two story building. it has 21 labs where where students learn electrical and mechatronics technology, and engineering draft and design. "for those that don't necessarily need to go to a four year university , there is plenty of opportunities here i out community. jobs are available." communiversity is preparing for its next semester of classes in august. live in columbus nicole dantzler wtva
