as the summer rolls on.. but rain is rolling into our forecast...keeping many organizers on their toes. wtvas evan hensley joins us live with bruce with what the city of bruce is doing to combat it... and the sawmill festival is a annual tradition here in bruce that brings in people from throughout the area... but the mayor told me that they will keep their eyes on the rain to make sure that everything still takes place... ." rudy pope - bruce mayor "well yes it is saturday especially but we are gonna try and still make through it unless it just sets in and stays that way but it is kinda worrying me a little bit." mayor rudy pope says they have seen a lot of rain in the last year... which has led to flooding... "but they are saying what 4 to 5 inches could be. but just a one time thing and if it doesn't set in we will be okay." stand up and mayor pope expects rain to play factor but they are determined to make sure this festival still takes place... "the rain, even if it does rain some but that might help cool it off but we hope it don't rain to much but just not steady rain." and with this rain going long past the festival... it could interfere with other city projects.. "we got a lot going on and as we get through this festival we are planning to start pacing streets so it is going to mess up everything if it continues to rain." and the sawmill festival kicks off tomorrow at 6 pm and goes into saturday. it features arts and crafts, music and a car show reporting live in bruce eh wtva 9 news and now
