in verona police need your help to solve a drive by shooting sunday night. wtva's taylor smith joins us live in verona where two people continue to recovery from their injuries craig the verona police say the victims in the shooting are not cooperating with police and its making it difficult to conduct their investigation. this is the scene from sunday night on east tenth street verona interim police chief johnny patterson confirms the shooting happened around 9 pm. he says a man and a woman pulled up to a stop sign and then another vehicle pulled up beside them with two black men inside... patterson says those men opened fire. the police found over 15 shell casings. patterson says there were 13 bullet holes in the car he says the driver was hit three times in the thigh and the passenger was shot in the face... but the victims are saying they dont know the people who shot at them and will not give the police any information to help with the investigation "we are hoping somebody else had seen it or like i said maybe video taped it somewhere and will step forward and help us out any information will help us out a lot" both victims were released from the hospital with non life threatening injuries patterson says they do not have any leads to help them find those responsible. he asks anyone with information to contact crime stoppers of northeast mississippi or their local law enforcement agency. live in verona taylor smith wtva nine news we were kinda
