Tupelo held its annual “All-America City Family Picnic in the Park" at Ballard Park on Thursday night for the Fourth of July.

are going off all across the country to celebrate americas birthday... but many north-east mississippi residents are in tupelo to check out their fire work show... wtva's evan hensley joins us live from the celebration with what all has been happening throughout the evening... evan... the fireworks are schedule to go off at 9 (talk about what is happening.) a lot of the people came out here for more then just the fireworks but for some fun entertainment... celebration ." rhonda johnson - tupelo "well i love it. i hear that this has been happening for 30 years here in ballard park. i was here a few years ago." rhonda johnson just moved back to her hometown a week ago... but already feels at home... "i always went to busch gardens for the fourth of july because they had all these fireworks and i moved here last week and now we have it here and it's wonderful." the people that made the trip here... had a variety of reasons to do it... brandon edwards - tupelo "like everything, the bands, the fireworks." "there is a great band plenty of food, pletny to drink, and plenty of great company, you douldn't ask for better." jesse sullivan - new albany "i believe it's going to turn out pretty good and enjoy it. the band sounds pretty good. the firework show is usually excellent." one of the biggest fears today ahs been with the weather.. with a chance of rain coming at firework time "we came itno some rain over and we kind of got bummed out but so far it has seemed to hold." but that wont stop the party...
