west point police continue the investigation into the attempted robbery of a dollar general store over the weekend. wtvas nicole dantzler joins is live in clay county on how the actions of workers left the robber empty handed... assistant police chief kennedy meaders says they are looking for this person captured in surveillance photos. meaders says the robber is a black man about five feet eight inches tall. the robber had on black adidas pants, a black hoodie, black shoes and a red mask. meaders says the robber entered the store, gun in hand around 10 p-m sunday night. the store sits on highway 50 east. he says store employees and customers hid in the back of the store. the robber ran out of the store without any money. assistant chief kennedy meaders says investigators think this is an isolated incident. "with the summer coming up we're going to be very diligent out there, checking these stores especially at night when the stores are closing and we also want the public to know that if you do have to leave the store prior to them closing up permanently just be aware of what's going on on the outside." meaders says no one was hurt during the attempted robbery. investigators are still working to identify the subject. live in west point nicole dantzler wtva nine news. at , you're
