from the booneville police department this afternoon following the deaths of two people related to the drug fentanyl and acetyl fentanyl. wtva has learned that one of the victims died at a house on jacinto road sunday morning. wtvas wayne hereford is standing by live with what he has learned from the booneville police department and family members of one of the victims. the fact that two people have died in booneville with two more in hospitals for the same reason has shocked the community. we talked with family members of one of the victims today. ." "somebody gave here some fake percasets .and couldn't nobody get to her in time .and it just "somebody gave here some fake percasets .and couldn't nobody get to her in time .and it just took her on out. i mean .its really got us hurt." uthain kimble says his mother veronica kimble died sunday evening after taking drugs. drugs that booneville police say were laced with fentanyl and acetyl fentanyl . veronica's is one of five cases that police are investigating right now. one other person has also died. uthain says he knew something was wrong when he tried to call his mom sunday. "because i was calling her all that day and i was trying to get a hold of her,and she don't never not answer my calls and when that happened it was just weird , it felt weird, .it hurt for the first time that she had never answered .but id didn't know what reason." standup ..family members of veronica say this house right here is where her mom and others were using some type of drug .its also the home where her mom they say was later found dead." brandi anderson is veronica's sister. she issued a warning to the public. "something is real, real bad, and people need to be cautious about what you are getting and who you are getting it from and what you are taking.: sparks did confirm that one of the overdose victims is veronica kimble . kimble was found, according to family members we talked to, in a home here on 713 jacinto road. family members say she was 46 years old. prentiss county coroner greg sparks told me by phone this afternoon that the situations are linked and that drugs might have come from the same place. he did not say where nor did he release any other names .of victims., i did talk
