Ole Miss student receives racist receipt from Oxford-drive thru

An Ole Miss student ordered from Who Dat’s Drive Thru in Oxford on June 7 and received a receipt reading “Black b***es in a silver car."

is under fire after a picture went viral of a racist receipt that got one person fired. wtva's evan hensley spoke with the woman who got the receipt and join us live with her reaction. this was just any other friday for alexia washington... she just wanted to grab some shrimp from one of her favorite places who dat's drive thru in oxford.. but after paying...she saw something on the receipt that got her attention. ." pkg alexia washington - ole miss student "if you create an environment where people feel comfortable to say things like that, to act in that manner, then you are enabling the problem." alexia washington says that this is the receipt she got at who dat's drive thru... "something told me to look at my receipt so i looked at it and it had 'black b's in silver car' my car isn't silver for one. for two i wasn't rude i didn't have any type of hostility, he didn't have any hostility with me." stand up and washington said that she is not going to hold it against who dats because this is just one occurence, from one person she had never seen their before in a place that she had spent a ton of her time. washington said she immediately talked to the manager and received an apology from the worker... but she didn't know if she should report it to law enforcement... "when it first happened i wanted to go to the police and i sat there and thought about going to the police. i can't, don't feel safe going to the police because our police department is under investigation." so she posted int to facebook to share her story... "i'm trying to move forward and make oxford a more progressive place because i take this all as a learning experience and we should all move forward from it to make oxford a better place." i did go to the drive thru and they are closed today... hotty toddy dot com got a comment from the owner who said that he/she fired employee. and that he/she will not tolerate this kind of behavior from employees... reporting live in oxford eh wtva 9 news very cool this morning... almost cool enough for a sweater..
