the shooting happened here at the best inn on north second street, just north of the college. jonathan andrew lambert is the man arrested for this crime. and the motel's owners tell me it was tuesday when they heard a loud disturbance, and when they came out to see what was going on, the man accused tried to make a get away... this is video from someone staying at the best inn when the shooting happened according to police, they got a call around 6:15 tuesday evening of a possible shooting... ((sot)) "the suspect had actually fired one shot inside the room and also one shot into a vehicle out in the parking lot that was occupied three times by two males and a female." ((stand up)) the owner of the best inn said one of the employees was here painting the pool when they heard loud yelling and car doors banging. that's when he stopped what he was doing and alerted another employee to call police. but officers said the person who fired those shots had taken off. jonathan lambert was eventually stopped near thrasher. however, law enforcement said he threw the gun and drugs out of the car.
