2)) today people gather across the nation to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. wtvas amanda haley joins us in booneville where a law enforcement memorial service is taking place. im here at a ceremony being held by prentiss county sheriff randy tolar as apart of peace officers memorial day and national police week...the ceremony that started just a few moments ago is one of a few in north mississippi to remember those that lost their life in line of duty. home ." nats "we go out there and put our lives on the line for people that we don't know." this morning in columbus, a memorial service was held for fallen officers. the service was held at the columbus police department to honor those officers and their families today on peace oficeres memorial day. columbus fire chief, eric shelton read the names of all 41 officers who have been killed in the line of duty in the united states this year. included in that list of names is robert mckeithen,a biloxi police officer who was just laid to rest on monday. nats- biloxi cop name being called "robert mckeithen"
