from law enforcement lands five people behind bars in monroe county. this after the chase started in nearby lowndes county. w-t-v-a's xavier harris is live in monroe county with what he has found out today concerning all of this. law enforcement describes what happened late saturday night in lowndes and monroe counties as total chaos. ." "when we got there they were actually fighting." these five people nathan cockerham, lori pritchett, lauren haley, anthoney pritchett, and graham pritchett were all arrested on saturday may 11th with charges ranging from disorderly conduct to simple assault on an officer... "i'm not saying there were any guns involved but it could have gotten a lot worse, at least no one was killed because that very well could have happened." according to the lowndes county sheriff greg wright it started out as a disturbance call on wood road, and it was dispatched that a tan car left the scene, that car was spotted by the town marshal lance lucky and a pursuit began... "and it ended up in monroe county." there on lawrence bridge road --according to the sheriff is where luckey was able to stop the vehicle, get out and try to detain the suspect. during that time according to the report, luckey called out to the monroe county sheriff department for back up and could be heard over the radio grunting as if there was a struggle going on... "i just think things got out of hand down there." when back up arrived they were able to get a white male on the ground but he was not cooperating. according to the investigators report a white female charged officers ordering that they release the man on the ground, officers demanded that she get back --and that is when she assaulted the officer trying to detain the man on the ground... "of course we are dealing with these assault charges which are very serious on police officers simple and aggravated." according to the report the luckey received an injury to his left side but is expected to make a full recovery... right now both graham and cockerham remain here at the monroe county jail behind bars. the other three are free on bond. live in monroe county, xavier harris wtva 9 news. at
