are getting more information on the meeting that was held tonight regarding alleged abuse at a day care in water valley. wtvas amanda haley is in water valley with more info. i'm here in w-v where a several parents and guardians got together to discuss an incident that happened at a day care. the meeting took place today at cotten candy kids learning center after a parent accuses an employee of the center of mistreating her child back in december. that parent is nicole morris. nicole says that all she wants is the truth as to what happened to her child while in the hands of the daycare employee. nicole shared a video footage of the incident when she found out another child had an issue with that same employee. sot - nicole morris- mother - trt: oc: "parents to feel at ease. i know theres some that a disagreeing and some that are agreeing so jsut to kind of give everyone a peace of mind." friday night, parents were invited to a meeting regarding the issue. after speaking with a few parents, some told me they felt the learning center and they would not release a statement. reporting live in watervalley ,amanda haley wtva 9 news wtva 9 news was also given copies of several letters that were sent home with the children. one is dated december 18, 2018 states that a complaint was filed regarding one of the teachers and that the state licensing officials were notified. it also says the teacher is still at the daycare but has another teacher with her at all times until the investigation is complete. another letter - dated april 9, 2019 says quote ' the same complaint from december has reared its head again.' it also says the teacher is still at the daycare and not working alone. a third letter was sent announcing the parent meeting that happened tonight. we will continue to follow this story.
