this weekend and businesses in the area are reaping the benefits. wtva's erin wilson has been there talking with different business all day and joins us live with the impact the tournament is having onthem..erin? anchor i spent the earlier part of my day on main st going into different shops and stores and from what i saw that area was really busy. store owners tell me they're expecting it to get even busier throughout the weekend. "we're just super pumped to see starkville so alive and excited so many people walking down so many people that haven't been in our store before." owner of womens boutique l.a. green lauren ann cooper tells us her store has been very busy for the last few days and they're not the only one. tokros coffee shop owner was so busy he didn't have time to interview. and even closer to campus the courtyard marriott tells me they a booked to capacity... (michelle davis/ hotel manager) "guest are callingcallingand looking for hotel rooms and we haven't been able to find anything here because of all the special events happening. i've been able to help one guest get secured in jackson, meridian, tupelo..." the greater starkville development partnership tells me that as of right now they do not know the dollar amount of how much moneythe tournamentbrought into starkville however they suspect that after the weekend they will see a large economic impact. of coursewith all the excitement i ran into a lot of excited fans. hear what they had to say about the tournament and the lady bulldogs coming up tonight at 6. still more news
