weather forecast over north/central mississippi and northwestern/western alabama. this high pressure area will continue to dominate our weather forecast over the next few days. this will give our area generally mostly sunny skies during the daytime hours and mostly clear skies during the overnight hours. however, some changes will be found down the line as a cold front will work its way into our area by later portions of our sunday and into our monday. we will see a good chance for some patchy rain, along with some isolated to scattered thunderstorms in our weather forecast due to this frontal passage. a few of the thunderstorms at times may be a little on the heavy and/or hefty side. strong and gusty winds, along with a possibility of some hail will be the main weather culprits. we will see most of our high temperatures over the next several days top off in the 60s and lower 70s. the only exception to this rule may be on tuesday as we could see most high temperatures in the upper 50s. most of the overnight low temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s over the next several nights. the only exceptions to this rule will be on our sunday night with some lower 50s and for our tuesday night with some of the normally colder areas dropping off down into the upper 20s for the overnight low. both mississippi state and ole miss are gearing up for
