continues into the death of an okolona man. and police are being tight- lipped about what happened. wtva's erin wilson has been in okolona today and joins uslive with more on the family's reaction. anchor i spent the earlier part of the day knocking on doors trying to find someone that knew david hall personally. not even a mile away from the home behind me is where his son lives and he tells me his father was on the phone with police when someone broke into his home... according to the son ofdavid hall, the same man that was arrested in connection with his fathers death, travis demien, was reported to police hours earlier by workers at the dodges store. ((sot)) "i called the police to get him to leave and they didn't even make him leave. the police were up here as well while i was here watching him walk around and do unruly things but because he was a veteran and he's been through things they didn't do anything about it." ((stand up)) halls son tells me his father called police early this morning and reported someone was trying to break into his car. moments later on the same call he told police that man was now trying to break into his home. the dodges store clerk tells me earlier he was also trying to get in the cars of customers including hers. "one o'clockami was still here and he was still outside messing with customers he had come and started to beat on my car window demanding me to give him a ride to work." halls son tells me authorities let him know at the scene that after demien broke into his fathers home both hall and demien got physical and during the struggle his father may have had a heart attack. i'm told demien was arrested here at the home. an official autopsy for david hall has not been released yet. his son did tell me that the family has set up a go fund me account to raise funds for halls funeral arrangements. reporting live in okolona erin wilson wtva 9 news. message history deputies in yalobusha county arrest
