adjusters are responding to damage claims after the february tornado... w-t-v-a's nicole dantzler joins us live from columbus to tell us the process of recovery.... insurance workers in the area tell me they've been working hard to help residents get back on their feet after the storm... a few weeks back insurance adjusters were seen on tuscaloosa road assessing damage to a gas station and store... several homes and businesses were damaged as well and the storm left victims wondering how they were going to recover. insurance workers from the farm bureau say everyone who reported claims received their money within forty eight hours of the storm. bubba cole with the farm bureau says one day after the storm he was on the ground assessing the damage. by monday adjusters were out assisting customers and by tuesday they've seen every one of their clients and checks were written out to them. he also says their process to assist clients was a quick and easy one. "we have our local adjusters you know. there local people i mean they live in our communities and they can be on the ground immediately. we don't have to wait for them to get here. if it's too much for one or two adjusters we ship in more. i think in the two days we had six adjusters here uh they were working the claims and getting our clients taken care of." many insurance adjusters that i spoke with in the area say that all claims relating to storm have been handled and their customers received assistance... coming up at 5 we'll hear from contractors who are doing storm repairs and see how weather may be impacting their business... live in columbus nicole dantzler wtva 9 news... one person
