residents in bruce have been placed under a mandatory 9 pm curfew due to theflooding in calhoun county. that curfew lasts until 5 a-m. wtva's erin wilson was there and talked to residents about how this downpour has affected them. today sheriff pollen told me that they had made multiple rescues in the bruce area and around calhoun county. some residents tell me they even witnessed a rescue. "you see people being rescued from cars. i saw one today where a woman wastrapped andher car was under water. i meanitsdangerous there could have been a baby in the car whocould'vedrowned you never know." conner starks on a regular day would have been in school however due to the flooding students in bruce where given a three day weekend. "school was cancelled because of all the flooding. you could tell that roads were flooded a lot." although students like conner were out of school today some students used there day out to help make sand bags for those who were at risk of being rained in.evelyn steen and her daughter couldn't believe just how bad the roads had flooded. "wow just to see it, i thank god my house is up on a hill. i thank god but i just feel for the other people i'm oraying for them. i just don't know i'm just praying that everyone is safe out here." residents are hoping that even though more rain is set to come the flooding doesn't get much worse. earlier we reported that there has been a mandatory 9pm curfew issued to bruce. it has actually been issued throughout the entire county of calhoun. reporting live in lee county erin wilson wtva 9 news
