scholarship contest. she's hannah jian ( jean ) of starkville high school, and she sent a video answering this question -- which person in your life has inspired you to make a difference in your community? "this is my mom -- brave, caring, giving. she is the reason why i am who i am today. she has made a difference in my life and in every life that crosses her path." hannah says her mother uses her love for plants and gardening to give back to the community, and hannah adds that has inspired her to give back as well. as for winning the scholarship... "i'm honestly just really awestruck by the fact that i won because i just kind of entered this for fun and i really wasn't expecting to win." hannah gets a one thousand dollar scholarship thanks to w-t-v-a and the participating sponsors. tony
