remained in place of much of our area. this has kept temperatures slightly milder. this morning temperatures range between the lower 40s to upper 40s. some lingering low level clouds and scattered patches of dense fog will be possible during the morning hours. in a few locations, light drizzle or mist could still be observed within the first several hours of sunrise (which is at 6:54 a.m. cst). heading into this afternoon, higher pressure will be slowly building into our area. thus, skies are anticipated to gradually clear (with the exception of thin mid and upper level cloud that will likely stream across our area form the west) as temperatures return to the middle to upper 50s across northeast mississippi and northwest alabama. the most recent front which passed through our area as the weekend began, was weak and not very well-defined. thus, low level moisture will linger through tomorrow afternoon. at that point, a secondary reinforcing front will push in from the northwest whilst decaying. this front will, however, bring a slightly cooler and drier air mass into place through the first half of tuesday. by the middle of the upcoming work week we will see another frontal system work its way into our weather forecast. this will give our area some more rainfall in the weather forecast by later portions of our wednesday, through our thursday and leaving on our friday. it does not look like there will be much in the way of heavy rain in the weather forecast during this time period. it looks like the heaviest of the rainfall and the heaviest of the thunderstorms will stay well to the south of our area. however, it still looks like we will see a good dose of light to moderate rainfall and this is not needed in our weather forecast. go ahead and pour yourself a glass of wine. a harvard study of more than twenty-one thousand people finds those who drink a glass of wine
