most areas will begin in the lower 30s with a few in the upper 20s. areas of fog are possible across parts of northwest alabama. so we need to monitor the potential for icy spots on bridges and overpasses. through the morning and early afternoon, a few additional showers may develop. and with that, could also come a few light flurries or snow showers. most of this should be focused over northwest alabama. temperatures should be above freezing at the time. so no major impacts are expected in terms of travel. these should drift out of the area into the night, clearing skies into the night as well. temperatures should slip into the lower and mid-20s by tuesday morning. we'll remain mostly clear into tuesday, warming temperatures quite a bit as winds gradually shift out of the south. no precipitation is expected. afternoon highs on tuesday should climb into the upper 40s and lower 50s. then into the night, we'll see temperatures slip into the lower 30s once again with more frost. we'll see clouds gradually build back into the region on wednesday. but winds will still be out of the south. so temperatures will still be relatively mild compared to what we've seen in recent days. afternoon highs climb into the upper 40s to lower 50s. then as we head into wednesday night, a few light sprinkles move into the region. this moisture becomes more widespread into thursday, especially thursday afternoon. widespread showers are likely with afternoon highs climbing into the mid- 50s. some models suggest temperatures climb into the upper 50s. but with the widespread showers and cloud coverage, and the nature of this passing storm system; i suspect some may not even reach the mid-50s. we'll dip back into the lower 40s by friday morning. and some showers will likely linger into the day. afternoon highs should be in the lower 50s. these showers will linger through the afternoon and evening friday. then they should gradually diminish some into saturday morning, though they won't go away completely. a few will stick around into saturday morning. then by the afternoon, we'll begin to clear out some. temperatures will dip into the lower 40s and upper 30s saturday morning. then in the afternoon, we'll reach a high near 50. sunday will come with a bit more sunshine and cooler morning temperatures. most will begin the day with temperatures in the upper 30s. then by the afternoon, thanks to the additional sunshine, highs
