families are healing together after losing a child. the7th annual compassionate friendsof northeast mississippi candlelightfor families is happening in tupelo. wtva's gracyn ashmore is live from the ceremony now. gracyn...? thanks rebecca, i am at the anchor church where that service happened earlier... families were invited to join in community to remember those lost during this holiday season... the candlelight is believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe... the ceremony in tupelo being one of only three official ones in the state... thousands of lightings are conducted around the world as loved ones gather to remember the children gone too soon... a remembrance table was in place to honor the deceased children...families providing photographs... the compassionate friends also hosts meetings at 9 a.m. the second saturday of each month at their facility on gloster street... with a candlelight "a lot of times, um, when we lose a child, a grandchild, a sibling, some people tend to feel like that child isn't being honored. this is a great way to be able to honor that child with a candlelight." reporting in tupelo, gracyn ashmore wtva 9 news...
