mississippi school superintendent was in north mississippi today as a local school district scores an 'a' on the states accountability system. today state education officials visitedthe tishomingo county special municipal separate school districtas part of its "celebration of excellence" tour. theratings are based on several factors including levels of proficiency and progress in tested subjects on the mississippi academic assessment program... state superintendent carey wright calls the achievement... a huge win for community. ." this is the first time this district been honored this way there only eighteen districts in the state of mississippi that earn an a and tishomingo is one of them and im here to pat them on the back and tell them job well done and just to enjoy the excitement. wright says mississippi's school grading system is designed to inform parents and communities how well their schools and districts are educating students.
