The city of Tupelo has received the Justice Assistance Grant from the state and say that money will be used for a security camera project at Theron Nichols Park.

the city of tupelo is currently working on how tohelp put security cameras in one of it's parks... wtva'sevan hensley has more on why the city is making these additions the city of tupelohas received a grant that will allow them to put security cameras throughout here at theron nichols park, i spoke with some people on why they think these cameras should be installed... dj mckay - fulton "i feel like that is necessary, there is just too much of a probability for something to go wrong. too many possibilities, too many personalities, there is just a lot of liability." the grant will help provide 75 percentof the funding for this project communications director leesha faulkner told me in a statement that security is the main reason these cameras are being added. the city says that this is the first step into increasing security in the parks andarea residents say that safety should always be priority number1. "this is the days and time we in man, i want my kids to be able to play safely and if something else was to happen to them i would at least want them to have some type of eyes and ears somewhere." i spoke with others off camera and they said that they believe that this is a good addition to implement in tupelo, eh wtva 9 news the mississippi department of education is pulling its
