Wwe have an update today from crews from Tupelo, Amory, Union County, DeSoto County, and Oxford... the teams were in Panama City this morning... these are pictures they sent of destruction they've seen... they are starting from ground zero due to the devastation.... recon is establishing the priority areas to search and mark.... we will keep you updated on their progress as we get more information... meanwhile...crews from the 4-County Electric Power Association in Columbus... are delaying their trip to Florida.... on Wednesday... crews prepared their equipment for a 6 a-m departure.....but shortly before the scheduled time to leave.... they were placed on standby... damaged areas need to be fully assessed first... the news on the departure has crews waiting... to find out where and when they can help those in need... "the statewide association in Florida will contact the statewide association for coops in Mississippi and let us know when and if we will go sometime in the future. it could be tomorrow or we may not go at all wherever we're needed I can say that we will be glad to go and help." Tombigbee power and other crews from Mississippi are also aiding in clean-up efforts.
