couple of days, rain chances will likely begin to peak. our tuesday will begin with mostly cloudy skies, areas of fog as well as a light drizzle or mist. temperatures will be in the lower 70s, likely climbing slowly through the morning. by midday, additional showers and storms begin to build. these will be somewhat widespread into the afternoon, much like what we saw monday. a few areas of sunshine will be possible in the afternoon, warming us into the mid-80s. rainfall totals should range from a trace to a half inch in most areas. we'll continue to see a few isolated storms through the first half of the overnight. then as we head into wednesday morning, these showers and storms become a bit more widespread, especially along and southeast of the natchez trace parkway. these will remain widespread through most of the day, keeping temperatures relatively cool. morning temperatures should mostly be in the lower 70s. and by the afternoon, we will likely only reach the upper 70s. a few may reach the lower 80s. showers and storms gradually wind down some into the night, leaving us mostly cloudy. wednesday's rainfall totals should range between 1 and 2.5 inches, giving us roughly 1 to 3 inches total between tuesday and wednesday. we'll see the clouds stick around into thursday. but the rain should mostly remain to our southeast
