ten... but first this evening, we begin with a story we've been following all day out of nettleton. a break in robbery at the united furnitureplant in nettleton has police searching for the person responsible. wtvas taylor smith spoke with police today to find more.... 00:13 01:00 vo: nettleton police chief gary monaghan said someone made it passed the security and into this furniture building saturday night. sot: "there was a security guard supposed to be walking around the campus, but they must have missed it i don't know what happened" bridge: the suspect did not take furniture like you would think... instead, they were on a mission to destroy. sot: "it was just a mess. they had twenty vending machines, and they were beaten up pretty bad, and they just took all the money out and demolished the machines." vo: monaghan says the suspect did not take any snacks or food from the machines just money. they are sure he went home with quiet a good amount. sot: "it happened sometime during the night. it took whoever did it, a really long time to do what they did. they had to be there awhile." residents in the area are surprised to hear this happening in their area. sot: "it's very strange. that kind of stuff doesn't happen here. this is nettleton. a small town." police did take fingerprints, and they may have a lead on a suspect, but they need more help to try and find the person who did it. if anyone has any information they are asked to call the nettleton police department. in nettleton taylor smith wtva nine news
