According to Pontotoc County Fire Coordinator Adam Patton, fire fighters responded to a mobile home fire in the Friendship Community Sunday.

a fire in pontotoc county leaves a grandmother and her family without a home. wtva's evan hensley joins us live with what's he has learned. this fire broke out right here onmathews bend. one alert neighborhelped the family get out the burning home safely. but... this is still a devastating blow for the family. ." package neighbor scott anderson was stunned by what he saw as he left his home on sunday afternoon. scott anderson - ecru, ms "it was amazement, came out the back door of the house. smoke was coming out the back, i ran over to the house to make sure everyone was out of the house, got out of there and saw everyone had ran out the front of the house." he says a grandmother and her grandchildren live in the home. and about seven people were inside when the fire broke out. nobody was injured. anderson "they have been here for probably a year, real nice folk, kind of keep to there self, don't bother anybody. i just hate this for them." anderson sayshe is not very close to the family, but has been there for support since the incident anderson "they're trying to find somewhere now but everything is so high and everything is booked up you really can't find anywhere to live right now." anderson says he was told this was an electrical fire. we still haven't received official confirmation on the cause. we'll have more on how this good samaritan tried to help save the family at 6 o'clock. live in pontotoc county, evan hensley wtva news a columbus cityemployee was injured whilecutting
