this week, houston high school named brian goodman as its new head baseball coach. tonight, goodman was introduced to the community. hopefully, you saw us live from houston at five and six. last season, goodman was an assistant coach at biloxi, but he has plenty of head coaching experience. goodman previously led programs at quitman, puckett and lake high school, spending 12 years at the latter. goodman is taking over for scott gann, who spent eleven years at houston, eight as the head coach. gann led the hilltoppers to a state championship in 2016. gann recently joined tupelo high school's baseball staff as an assistant coach. goodman may be new to houston, but he says he's already very familiar with the program. program." "i've seen a lot of their players over the last several years, i'm the president of the crossroads diamond club that puts the d.m. howie all-star game on, so i've seen a lot of players from houston, so i know they've got a lot of talent, and a lot of times, that talent, the culture breeds that talent, from just being good from year to year, and somebody else wants to be good and step up. i like to see my kids continue to improve on a daily basis, not only that, to have a chance to go on to the next level, but at the same time, we all know at some point in time that's going to end. but at the end of the day, i want them to be better men because they were served in our program." last
