police in west point say they are seeing a rash of burglaries in the city... the last two happened less than 24 hours ago wtva's shante sumpter joins us live with who police thinks may be responsible craig emily as i was inside interviewing an investigator two new burglary cases rolled in. bringingthe estimated total to about 50 burglaries since the spring. and making the job hard for the departments two investigators. pkg: thats how it's rolling on us. by the time we get started on one case. we're being called to another detective rameriez ivy now has this map to keep up with the crimes.. red markings showing auto burglaries, and black showing homeor businesses.. of course as you see it's all over the place. the only pattern we have is the auto burglaries ivy says at night the thieves look through cars to see what they want, and then trying to open the door if they don't open the door they'll bust the window. so they're going to get them. one way or another. residents tell me they hope the problem is solved first of these people need to get a job because people work hard for their property. if they don't stop somebody going to get hurt or end up in jail. somebody needs to do something about it. it's too much going on. ivy says patrol officers will now began enforcing the cities curfew. they believe juveniles are likely the culprits of these crimes. i'll have what consequences parents may face and how the curfew works coming up 6.
