the mississippi state baseball team left starkville for omaha this afternoon as they are gearing up forthe 2018 college world series. wtva's evan hensley was there to talk to fans who were sending the team off in style. that's right i am out here in starkville where the players loaded up on their bus for their trip to omaha. fans say it has been a long road for the bulldogs this season sot ron caulfield, starkville, ms "this is a group of young men at the beginning of the year, everything they've gone through, all that adversity." a few of the players took time after they loaded up the bus, to give back to their fans. sot clayton dulaney, starkville, ms "we're getting our autographs its really fun and i'm meeting people i haven't met before." sot ron caulfield "i'm really excited for the young men they put in all of the hard time, they earned it, they deserved it. they are just a great group of young guys." some of the fans who attended the send off will be traveling to omaha as well. but those who are staying home saythey will still be watching. sot clayton dulaney "yes, i hope we win, it's going to be awesome." as live and the team will face the university of washington on saturday at 7 o'clock. for now reporting in starkville, evan hensley
