wx wall joel happy wednesday!! the repetitive pattern of warm, humid conditions and spotty showers and storms continues into mid-week. but perhaps we won't see quite as many showers and storms this afternoon as what we've seen in recent days. still, they are likely with otherwise mostly sunny skies and highs climbing into the upper 80s to near 90. rain chances will be around 20 to 30 percent. this remains the case into your thursday. but as we head into your friday, we'll see a weak area of low pressure build into the u.s. southeast, increasing rain chances. we'll see these rain chances spread into the area even more by saturday and sunday. and unfortunately, it doesn't dissipate going into your memorial day. we'll be dealing with significant rain chances all the way through the holiday weekned. rainfall totals between now and early next week could range between a half inch to 3 inches. expect temperatures to be a bit cooler as a result. but still, lots of humidity will be spread into the equation as well. highs will be in the lower 80s through the weekend and early next week. morning lows will be around the same as they have been, near 70 degrees. for more details, visit our websites at and this morning on wtva 9 news today... we showed you a massive sinkhole at oxford high school...
