heading into this afternoon, we are currently experiencing a lull in the rain thunderstorm activity. additional shower thunderstorm development, however, is anticipated as the afternoon continues into the early evening hours. the combination of extensive cloud coverage that lingered through much of the morning hours along with additional storm development this afternoon, should lead to high temperatures remaining limited to the middle-80s this afternoon.headi ng into the evening a few showers storms could linger well into perhaps through much of the evening/night as they tap into the plenteous amounts of moisture (storm fuel) present in our region. fortunately, ingredients for well-organized storms are not in place, and as such, storms will mainly produce heavy rain, lightning, maybe some small hail, and possibly an isolated strong gust of outflow wind.much like today, we'll likely see more isolated showers and storms as we head into tuesday. but as we head into the mid-week time frame, these showers and storms should become a bit less widespread. still, whatever does manage to develop could be on the strong side as there will continue to be plenty of heat
