conditions to persist. the first half of the evening will feature continued chances for spotty rain, drizzle or mist. overnight temperatures will fall into the upper to middle 50s. tuesday will start off with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 50s as mentioned. there should be a bit of a lull in rain activity through the overnight and lasting through much of the morning on tuesday. there could, however, be some patchy areas of fog present as the morning gets underway. skies will remain mostly to partly cloudy throughout the day with temperatures expected to climb into the middle to upper 60s and perhaps and isolated spot hitting 70 by mid-afternoon. mid-afternoon through early evening will also see a return of very low-end rain chances. a widely scattered to isolated shower will be possible during this time-frame. then as we head into the overnight hours wednesday to thursday morning, a cold front is anticipated to push through the area. this front will like have enough moisture to generate some scattered to widely scattered rain showers as it pushes through thursday. this initial front will be followed by a secondary front moving in as we head into the afternoon to evening hours on friday. this second front appears likely to have less moisture to work with and as such the rain chances should remain very low. increased cloud coverage will likely be the primary impacts, but an isolated light shower will also not be impossible.finall y, heading into the weekend, it does appear that for the first time in a few weeks the rain chances will stay away from northeast mississippi.
