slamming parts of the northeast today.... residents in several states waking up this morning to blizzard like conditions .... parts of new england could see as much as 2 feet of snowfall over the next 24 hours ... this morning temperatures have fallen a several additional degrees into the lower 30s. there is some patchy frost present across the area. some of that frost will likely be present on windshields and may keep you from hitting the road for a few extra minutes. sunrise is at 7:06 this morning and through much of the day, sunshine will be in abundant supply, a continued northerly flow of 5 -15 mph will continue through much of the day and temperatures climb into the mid-50s. we'll continue to see sunshine into your wednesday with even colder temperatures that morning. we'll start out in the lower 30s and upper 20s. then through the day, we'll see temperatures back into the mid-50s. so while yes, we see more sunshine. the warming trend doesn't kick in again until sometime later this week. on thursday, we'll see temperatures climb into the mid and upper 60s followed by lower 70s by friday. during this time, we'll also ee additional rain chances. on friday, we'll see partly cloudy skies with isolated showers. then into the weekend, those showers become more widespread, and perhaps a bit on the strong to severe side--mostly sunday and monday.
