welcome back to wtva 9 news at six. i'm craig ford. and i'm emily leonard. wtva along with legacy construction and other sponsors broke ground this morning in tupelo on the 2018 st. jude dream home. the home will be built on dunbarton oaks circle the community bank on glister in tupelo. wtva's wayne hereford tells us that a very special person was there to kick off the campaign. ." this was a special day for everyone invloved. a special day for the organizers at st. jude because another dream home is about to go up . this one on dunbarton oaks ciircle . "the property is dunbarton oaks subdivison.the lot was donated by the hancock family .the house is going to be about a 35-hundred square foot house.." this is what the house will look like when its finished. money raised from the home will go to help st.jude patients like 9-year old brody houpt of dorsey who has been a st. jude patient since he was five. he's nine year sold. "no parent ever thinks their kid will ge cancer, and when he got it we were very blessed to live as close as we do to st. jude and st. jude has done amazing things for us." later on, brody and leeann spoke at the "bricks and stoicks" luncheon , an event set up to thank contributors to last year's dream home program and hopefully get their support again this year. the land for this year's home was donated by the l./d. hancock foundation of tupelo. "we developed the dunbarton oaks subdivision a few years back .when the builders and designers approached us about having the home in our subdivision this year , we were thrilled."
